Family and Social Background
We have been performing hereditary priestly duties at Ganga Godavari, Ramkund, Nashik, following our ancestral tradition. We have been carrying out priestly duties since the time of our ancestors, beginning with Bapu Bhat Panchakshari, even prior to our great-grandfather.
We maintain a record of yajmans (patrons) from Gujarat, preserved for approximately 150 years. We represent the sixth generation performing priestly duties at Ramkund. Yajmans visit us from across India. In accordance with our ancestral tradition, we perform various religious rituals.
These include asthi visarjan, dashkriya (tenth-day rites), panchak shanti, tripad shanti, terava (thirteenth-day rites), annual shraddha, pitrudosh nivaran shanti, narayan bali, tripindi, and mahalaya shraddha. We also perform various shanti rituals such as janan shanti, janan yoga shanti, kalsarpa shanti, and mangal shanti.
Purohit at Trimbakeshwar
Trimbakeshwar, located near Nashik in Maharashtra, is one of the twelve Jyotirlingas of Lord Shiva and is considered one of the most sacred pilgrimage sites in India. We conduct Vedic rituals, Shanti ceremonies, and ancestral rites as per traditional scriptures.
